After a break in December, the Dining Out gathered together on the 17th January at Restaurant Maxim in Moraira.
The group first went to Restaurant Maxim about 6 years ago, soon after Maxim and his sister Lola took over the premises, and over the years the restaurant has gradually increased its capacity both inside for the winter months and outside during the summer. During that time the restaurant has gained an excellent reputation and is consistently rated as one of the best restaurants in Moraira for the presentation and quality of its food, service and value.
The group has been to Maxim’s a few times and has always been a popular event. This time was no exception with 66 diners attending the event.
Maxim and his team produced an excellent 3 course menu with several choices for each course, be it meats, fish or vegetarian. To start was a cava reception and a canapé, and bread with aioli, a sorbet plus half a bottle of wine was included. Many diners lingered to chat after the meal was finished – a sure sign of a successful Dining Out.
It also happened to be regular diner Irene Posket’s birthday, so her dessert was accompanied by a firework candle plus of course a loud rendition of “Happy Birthday” She loved it!
