January Lunch at D’Gust Moraira
What a wonderful start to the New Year for Las Chicas. The last time they visited D’Gust in Moraira was two years ago when it was snowing but this time the sun shone down and 38 chicas gathered for an afternoon of good food and great company (plus the odd glass of wine!) in this very stylish restaurant in the centre of Moraira.
The starters were all rated very highly, especially the tomato soup and the carpaccio of melon and serrano ham. This was followed by either beef cheeks, a speciality of D’Gust, salmon or pork medallions. All were considered excellent, although one table felt the pork hadn’t come up to their expectations.
Once again, the chicas were chattering away to each other throughout the afternoon and they all seemed to be enjoying themselves. Lynn read out a list of dates for the next few lunches and such is the popularity of this group that many people were putting these dates in their diaries to make sure they kept them free.
After dessert, coffee was served and Lynn thanked Miguel and his staff for looking after Las Chicas so well, and she in turn was applauded for all her hard work in arranging the lunch.
